Romans 16:25-27: “Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: to God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.”
Paul’s last ending to his epistle is dedicated to the Lord. Why does he call it, “my gospel,” though, if it belongs to God? This is the kind of challenge you might face from a skeptic or atheist. Are you ready with a reasonable response? What is the mystery that was kept secret since Creation? How was this secret made manifest? How did Christ become real to you? Did God reveal Himself to you over time, until the evidence was irrefutable? Was there a blinding flash of revelation, like there was for Saul of Tarsus? Did you always know He was there, watching and waiting? The mystery was laid out in the Scriptures all along. Why did no one see it?
