Job 23:11-14 – “My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? And what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.”
Job obeyed God his whole life. Even when he lost everything, and thought the Lord had abandoned him, he stayed true to his faith: he kept his feet on God’s Path. He knew what the true bread of life was, and the importance of keeping God’s Commandments. Have you ever looked at parts of the Scriptures and thought, ‘that is for others, but not for me; or, ‘that was for then, but not for now’? Is your Mission satisfying? Would you change His mind about why He created you? Do you wish at times you were born in better time or place? He put you where He put you, and He will do what He will with you, just as He did Job.
