Job 22:25-27 – “Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defense, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.”
What is the relationship between the Lord’s defense, and material wealth? Do these two always go hand in hand? Are wealthy believers safe from troubles and challenges? What are some of the problems money cannot solve? What are you going through right now, that no amount of money would change? Do you need to be financially stable to have joy in your life? What happens to those who come to Christ expecting Him to make their money problems go away? How many lift their faces to God only when they are “blessed” with material abundance? What conditions has the Lord established for determining which prayers He hears? What are you required to pay, in return for His answering your prayers? Look up some of the Scriptures dealing with money and possessions. How does God’s attitude toward this subject compare to what Eliphaz is telling Job? What’s eternally valuable?
