1 Corinthians 1:22-25

1 Cor 1:22-25: “For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”

What signs have you seen, proving that God exists? Have you ever heard someone say, “Why doesn’t God show Himself?” How easy would it be to win converts, if you could perform signs and wonders like Christ did? Why has the Lord stopped showing Himself in the magnificent ways He did in Old Testament times? The Greeks of old have their counterparts today. There are those who insist that God is not a rational concept. Anyone who believes in One Creator (and His Son, the only Savior) is a fool. Have you ever been laughed at for your faith? Christ was not who the Jews expected Messiah to be. God’s plan for humanity does not make sense to the “wise” of this world. Why does He present Himself so weakly and foolishly?
